The Versa Series by Ohio Drone, LLC is a range of American Engineered and Manufactured Part 107 Quadcopter sUAS Drones designed to be compliant to the FAA 2023 regulations. This series has been specifically designed for inspections.
The base model Versa comes with a sensor box to house whatever sensor system you need for your inspection operations. Choose from our suite of partner sensor technologies or mount your own sensors to the box! Upgraded sensor boxes with gimbal camera mounts are available with or without the accessory gimbal.

The Versa Grid model is ideal for long range - long duration inspections of power lines and telephone poles.


Now there is a lower cost and significantly safer way to monitor the health of your power distribution and transmission line infrastructure. Introducing Versa Grid TM, a sUAV by Ohio Drone equipped with Exacter's grid inspection technology.
The Versa Grid employed Exacter technology easily and accurately identifies system weak links, as well as uncovers the more elusive problems missed by visual observation and infrared photography. This means problems are detected earlier, resulting in less costly and less time-sensitive remediation. Specifically, the Versa Grid's Exacter technology uses RF (Radio Frequency) reception and problem signature analysis to identify arcing, leaking, and tracking long before traditional observation methods.

How the Versa Grid drone-based solution can work for you
An equipped Versa Grid drone is flown around a single pole, a network of poles or along towered transmission lines. Exacter technology in the drone identifies problematic conditions matching Exacter's proprietary Failure Signature Library and send the findings either through WiFi back to the drone pilot or assistant or via cell-netowrk to the above or remote monitoring station. The findings data, along with a video stream and/or photographs of the component(s) being observed and their location (GPS coordinates) are communicated to the drone pilot and/or the customer's remote data center (cellular solution).
With the flight time of an equipped and manned helicopter or fixed wing aircraft exceeding $200 per hour, not to mention the high risk of "flying wires", it is an easy decision to choose the Versa Grid as an alternative solution.
